Project Hope’s headquarters at 550 Dudley Street in Roxbury, which holds Silver Status for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, received an additional Green Award on April 17th, 2008 from Mayor Thomas M. Menino for being a Bike Friendly business. Special features of the building that encourage biking-to-work include internal bicycle storage, a locker and shower room for bicycling commuters.

Project Hope is proud to be earth friendly; to be designed and operated in such a way as to continually conserve precious material and energy resources.

Project Hope, whose mission is “to partner with families as they move up and out of poverty,” began as a Shelter at 45 Magnolia Street in Dorchester. At 550 Dudley, the first Green building in Roxbury, an expanded staff offers intensive, integrated case management services and hosts a variety of innovative career, educational, and job training programs aimed at preventing homelessness and moving families out of poverty to economic stability.
