 Workforce Development

Launched in 2004, this program prepares the community for entry-level and mid-level employment. Serving primarily single mothers who are unemployed or underemployed, program graduates receive intensive job search support and referrals to partner employers and training programs. Our programmatic approach addresses the employment goals for women enrolled in our adult education program by incorporating job skills training curricula into their academic classes.  Additional programs offered throughout the year include:

Patient Care Associate (CNA) Training Program: Project Hope recruits, screens and supports women for Certified Nurse’s Assistant training as well as training for administrative jobs. Our additional healthcare training programs set students up for advancing to next levels of hospital administration and with Partners, Tufts Health Plan and other healthcare partners.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS IN HEALTH PROFESSIONS

This is a 5 week skill building training program designed to support community residents in gaining the skills necessary to be strong candidates for employment.  Our program graduates have been placed into a variety of positions and settings including: hospitals, health insurance companies, call centers, private practices, clinics, and other office setting.

Tracks to Employment: This is a 3-week workshop series designed to reach those who experience multiple barriers to sustainable employment. This program focuses on developing essential technical and soft skills, as well as tools for engaging in a successful job search, obtaining employment or improving employment status.
