Community Building
550 Dudley Street, Roxbury Ma.

Our vibrant four-story, an environmentally friendly community center located at 550 Dudley Street in Roxbury (just around the corner from our building at 45 Magnolia Street) is bustling with energy and growth!

The Community Building earned Silver Status for showing Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design by the US Green Building Council in September 2007. It is the first certified "green" building in Roxbury. Project HOPE Boston, Inc. also received an additional green award in April 2008 from Mayor Thomas M. Menino for being a bike-friendly business.

The Community Building gives Project HOPE Boston, Inc. an increased presence in the Dorchester and Roxbury neighborhoods and brings under one roof all of our education, workforce development, and housing resources. Our expanded programming improves our ability to partner with more low-income families.

The Little Sisters of the Assumption opened the doors to their convent on Magnolia Street to their first homeless family in 1981. From 1981 to 2006, all of Project HOPE Boston's programs were housed under this one roof along with the eight families who called Project HOPE Boston, Inc. their home.
